Various departures with the EHCO

March 16 2017

The EHC Olten separates from long-standing players and will deny the next season with two foreign forwards.

After a season failed at many levels there are several conversations which take place with the EHC Olten during these days – under it also painful ones. Thus the club has decided to extend the running out contracts with the long-standing defenders Romano Pargätzi, Simon Schnyder and Remo Meister no more. Master comes from the Oltner junior department and played since 2005 in the 1-st team, tailors and Pargätzi bumped in 2007 respectively in 2008 to the EHC Olten. Together three on 1455 NLB plays with the EHCO bring it. The club thanks the players warmly for her unusual club loyalty as well as her big application and wishes them for the future only the best.

Black brook new beginning

In addition, Stümer Diego Schwarzenbach (picture) will leave the club. His contract which runs till the end season 2017/18 is dissolved in the mutual agreement. It was the wish of the player for aerial change which gave the impulse to good and constructive conversations. The Thaler black brook did itself in the past season to call away his eleventh in series with the EHCO, hard, his usual achievement and came in the end that a change would be an advantage for both sides: „ I cannot help in this constitution my heart association and, therefore, need a new beginning at another place – around afterwards, hopefully, regained strength to the club to be able to return. “ The EHC Olten supports Diego Schwarzenbach in this plan and wishes him for the coming challenge all the best.

From now on without Gedig

Desweiteren the collaboration is also finished with Curtis Gedig whose contract would be valid for an other season. It is searched for a solution good for both sides. Last the Canadian defender was hardly used after good seasonal start and plays in the plans of EHCO-Headcoach Bengt-Å ke Gustafsson no more role; the Swede plans for the new season with two foreign forwards.

In the end, both young forwards Paolo Morini and Ramón Diem also receive no new contract. Also to them count the thanks of the club and the best wishes to the future.
