Robson rock solid in net, takes POW

Penticton Vees goaltender Mat Robson has been named the BCHL Player of the Week for the week ending February 26, the league announced Tuesday.
Robson saw action in all three Vees games for the week, all on the road and he turned aside 79 of 81 shots for a .975 save percentage. The Toronto native made 29 saves in a 5-1 win in West Kelowna and came on for the final 40 minutes plus overtime in a 4-3 setback in Surrey where he stopped 23 shots. The 6-foot-3, 190-pound netminder capped his week with a 3-0 shutout win in Chilliwack where made all 27 saves. He had a 0.73 goals-against average for the week.
The shutout was his BCHL-best sixth of the season. Robson also wound up the league-leader in wins as he posted a 35-13-1 record on the year.
