Bears Sign Former Vipers Forward Pimm:

The American Hockey League (AHL) Hershey Bears have signed former Vernon Vipers forward Braden Pimm.  Pimm is currently attending the Washington Capitals Training camp.

Pimm finished his fourth and final season at Northeastern University last season before signing a amateur-tryout contract (ATO) with the American Hockey League (AHL) Milwaukee Admirals on March 27th 2014.  Pimm was not rewarded with a new contract after going pointless in 9 games with Milwaukee.  In 37 games last season with the Huskies Pimm recorded (20-goals-17-assists-37-points). Pimm went pointless in 9 games as a rookie with Milwaukee.  Pimm played three years in Vernon (2007-2010) In 179 regular season games with the Vipers Pimm collected (64-goals-97-assists-161-points).

BEARS SIGN THREE TO AHL DEALS

08/15/2014 - HERSHEY, Pa. – The Hershey Bears announced today that the club has signed forward Braden Pimm and defensemen Michal Cajkovsky and Wade Epp to one-year American Hockey League contracts.  The announcement was made by Bears President/GM Doug Yingst.
 
Pimm, 24, will enter his first full professional season in 2014-2015.  Last year, Pimm appeared in nine games with the AHL’s Milwaukee Admirals after finishing his collegiate career at Northeastern University (HE).  The 6-0, 200-pound native of Fort Saint John, British Columbia led the Huskies in goals (20) and finished third on the squad in points (37) while serving as alternate captain in his senior season.
 
In four years at Northeastern, the undrafted Pimm has a total of 85 points (42 goals, 43 assists).
 
Cajkovsky, 22, is coming off of a breakout professional season with the ECHL’s Reading Royals.  Playing in 66 regular-season games, the 6-3, 218-pound native of Bratislavia, Slovakia led all Royals defensemen in goals (14) and points (36), while ranking second among his blue line counterparts in assists (22).  His five power play goals also ranked second among Reading defensemen and tied for third on the team.
 
Cajkovsky’s 36 points bested all ECHL rookie defensemen, and his season performance earned him a spot on the ECHL’s All-Rookie Team.
 
Cajkovsky finished his third junior season and second with the OHL’s Ottawa 67’s in 2012-13.  In 66 games, his 10 goals, 24 assists and 34 points all ranked second among Ottawa defensemen.  He recorded 55 points (13 goals, 42 assists) and 209 penalty minutes over two seasons with Ottawa, and added 15 points (four goals, 11 assists) in 67 games with the OHL’s Kingston Frontenacs in 2010-11.
 
Epp, 25, completed his fourth season of collegiate hockey at Northern Michigan University (WCHA).  In 36 games, Epp tallied eight points (three goals, five assists) and 39 penalty minutes.
 
Lettering in all four seasons, the 6-4, 224-pound native of Chilliwack, British Columbia has appeared in 141 career games with the Wildcats, and has a total of 34 points (nine goals, 25 assists).
 
Cajkovsky, Epp and Pimm all attended Washington Capitals development camp held this past July.
