Doyle Cup: Game 4 Vernon 5 Grande Prairie 2

For the second straight night, Connor Jones opened the scoring shorthanded, scoring at 5:04 putting the Vipers up 1-0. Kellen Jones with the lone assist. Connor put Vernon ahead 2-0 at 12:37 with Bryce Kakoske & Kellen Jones collecting the assists. In the 2nd period two quick goals by the Storm ties the game. Doug Reid from from Brenden Turnbull and Ryan Smith at 1:26, then Morgan MacLean on the powerplay from Captain Blake Clement at 7:02. After a huge hit from Cameron Brodie, Braden Pimm would re-give the Vipers the lead at 11:00 with Captain Chris Crowell picking up the lone assist. The Vipers would head into the 3rd with the 3-2 lead. Sahir Gill on the powerplay at 16:41 would put the game away. Connor Jones & Kevin Kraus with the assists. With Chad Carder on the bench for the extra attacker, Connor Jones would score his 3rd goal of the night into the empty net at 18:42 putting Vernon up 5-2. Kyle Bigos with the lone assist. The Vipers would defeat the Storm 5-2 and sweep the series 4-0 winning their 6th Doyle Cup. Andrew Hammond makes 29 saves for the win, while Chad Carder makes 26 saves in the loss. With the win, the Vernon Vipers move onto the Royal Bank Cup in Victoria.
