Vipers & Silverbacks Still Atop National Rankings:

The Canadian Junior Hockey League (CJHL) announced today its Top 15 rankings for the weeks of December 22nd to January 4th. Last week’s rankings and the leagues in which the teams belong to are in parenthesis.

The CJHL Top 15 as of Monday, January 5th:

3. (4) Humboldt Broncos (SJHL)
4. (3) Portage Terriers (MJHL)
5. (5) Grande Prairie Storm (AJHL)
6. (6) Couchiching Terriers (OJHL)
7. (9) Georgetown Raiders (OJHL)
8. (7) Vernon Vipers (BCHL)
9. (10) Pembroke Lumber Kings (CJHL)
10. (8) Les Cougars du College Champlain – Sherbrooke (LHJAAAQ)
11. (11) Brooks Bandits (AJHL)
12. (NR) Winnipeg Saints (MJHL)

Honorable mention goes to the Cowichan Valley Capitals (BCHL), Victoria Grizzlies (BCHL), Okotoks Oilers (AJHL), Olds Grizzlys (AJHL), Dauphin Kings (MJHL), Aurora Tigers (OJHL), Oakville Blades (OJHL), and the Summerside Western Capitals (MJAHL).

The rankings are based upon a variety of factors which includes the league in which the teams belong to, their winning percentage, their win-loss record, total points accumulated, their goals-for versus goals-against ratio, amongst other factors.
