Burns played parts of the 2023-24 & 2024-25 seasons with the Steinbach Pistons before signing with the Brooks Bandits December 27th 2024. The Bandits traded Burns to the Vernon Vipers February 10th 2025 for forward Luke Bibby. Burns never reported to the Vipers.

With Burns not reporting to Vernon, I'm guessing the Bandits will owe the Vipers another player/or future considerations?

Maybe not. The vipers still hold his BCHL rights for next season.
