Okanagan Cup: Exhibition: Salmon Arm 2 Vernon 1 Shootout

Hunter Sansbury tied the game at 13:31 of the 3rd period on the power play, before Carter Loney scored the shootout winner as the visiting Salmon Arm Silverbacks defeated the hometown Vernon Vipers 2-1 in a shootout at Kal Tire Place. Vernon outshot Salmon Arm 31-19. Riley Kohonick made 30 saves in the win, while Koen MacInnes made 17 saves in the loss.

Western Hockey League Players Can Be Loaned To Junior A Teams:

The Western Hockey League announced Friday that it is allowing players to join teams at the Junior A, Junior B, and Under-18 levels on a loan-basis. Western Hockey League players will be allowed to play Junior hockey elsewhere until mid-December. Players will then attend WHL Training Camps after the holiday break.

Great Clips Legendhairy Plays With Colton Sparrow

Thirteen years ago today (October 26th 2007) Vernon Vipers forward Scott Zurevinski collected five points (2 goals-3 assists) in a 8-1 victory over the visiting Prince George Spruce Kings in front of 2,138 fans at the Vernon Multi-Plex. Bryce Christianson made 35 saves in the win, while Shane Mainprize made 32 saves in the loss.

Okanagan Cup: Vipers-Warriors Highlight's:

Here are the Vipers/Warriors game highlight's from October 24th 2020. The visiting Vernon Vipers blew a 3-1 2nd period lead, allowing the West Kelowna Warriors to tie the game. For a second straight night the game went to overtime. John Evans second goal of the night at 0:42 of overtime was the game winner, giving the hometown Warriors a 4-3 overtime victory and a sweep of the pre-season series. Kobe Grant made 31 saves in the loss, while Cole Schwebuis made 37 saves in the win.
