I attended tonights Oakville-Dauphin game as the Kings finish the round robin at 4-0 with a 5-4 victory over the 0-4 Blades. Dauphin with two powerplay goals and having the edge in play were up 3-1 after the 1st period. Dauphin with a shorthanded goal took a 4-1 lead in the 2nd and looked like they were going to run away with tonights game, but Oakville in a mean nothing game didnt quit. The Blades outplayed the Kings in most of the final two periods tying the game 4-4 before the Kings would score the game winner in the 3rd. Dauphin hung on for the win to finish 4-0. Specialty teams was the difference. Both goaltenders played well. Another quiet crowd at Credit Union Place. Both teams finish the round robin, The Kings will now play Saturday night 7pm in the semi-final. Oakville wont be in the semi-finals.
