I caught tonights final game of the round-robin tournament as Brockville defeated La Ronge 6-3. The Braves (2-2) will now face the Vipers (3-1) in Saturdays semi-final, while La Ronge (1-3) will face Dauphin (4-0) in the other Saturday semi-final. Both teams looked fairly even in the first two periods with just a handfull of good scoring chances before the Braves took over the play in the 3rd and dominated breaking open a 3-3 tie with three goals in the 3rd. Brockville really stepped up their play in the final period and were by far the better team. Until the 3rd both teams looked a little slow at times with no real upbeat play in the opening two periods. A fairly physical-rough game as tempers really started to heat up in the 3rd period.
