Wings Return Former Viper Schneider To American Hockey League:

The ECHL Kalamazoo Wings have returned former Vernon Vipers forward Stefan Schneider to the AHL Chicago Wolves.  The Wolves loaned Schneider to Kalamazoo on November, 26th picked up a goal & an assist in eight games with the Wings.  Schneider is in his second season with the Wolves but has yet to play a game this season with Chicago. The Vancouver Canucks signed the free agent Vernon product on March, 29th 2010. Schneider played five games as an "AP" with the Vipers during the 2006-2007 season. In five games with the Vipers Schneider went pointless.

Kalamazoo, MI- The Kalamazoo Wings, proud member of the ECHL, three-time defending North Division Champions and National Hockey League affiliate to the Vancouver Canucks, and American Hockey League’s Chicago Wolves announce that forward Stefan Schneider has been reassigned by the Canucks to the Wolves.  

A third-year pro, Schneider has earned two points (1 goal, 1 assist) in eight games with the K-Wings. Schneider recorded his first goal of the season last night in Kalamazoo’s 2-1 overtime loss to the Fort Wayne Komets.

By heading to Chicago, Schneider becomes the fifth member of the K-Wings to be either reassigned or loaned to an AHL club.

The K-Wings will return home to Wings Stadium on Friday, December 21st with a 7:30 p.m. face-off versus the Komets on COOL 101 Game Show Night and a FANomenal Friday, featuring $2 beer, $1 Pepsi and $1 pretzels.
