istmas break playing the remainder of the 2006-07 season and playing his final season with the Vipers (2007-2008) before playing the next two years at Ohio State University. In 140 regular season games with the Vipers Bishop collected (93-84-177). On March. 18th 2010 the Montreal Canadiens signed Bishop as a free agent to a two year contract. Bishop attended the Habs training camp the last three seasons.

North Charleston, S.C. – The South Carolina Stingrays, celebrating 20 seasons of hockey in the Lowcountry and proud ECHL affiliate of the Boston Bruins of the National Hockey League (NHL), announced today that forward Hunter Bishop has been loaned to the Lake Erie Monsters of the American Hockey League (AHL).
Bishop, 25, earns his first call-up of the season and is second on the Stingrays with 31 points (15 goals, 16 assists) in 35 games. Missing last season due to injury, the Fairbanks, Alaska native competed in 34 AHL contests with the Hamilton Bulldogs in 2010-11 grabbing four goals and four assists for eight points. Prior to turning pro, Bishop attended Ohio State University for two seasons (2008-10) and skated in four contests with the University of North Dakota in 2006-07 totaling 59 points (29 goals, 30 assists) in 79 games.
