The WHL Tri-City Americans released former Vernon Vipers forward Brendan Persley Friday after Persley attended the Americans Training camp. Persley went pointless in four pre-season games with the Americans before being released. The BCHL website now has Persley listed on the Vipers roster wearing jersey #24 Im not sure how this works because back on September, 4th the Vipers traded Persley along with future considerations to the MJHL Virden Oil Capitals for 19 yr old forward Mitch Van Teeling. Persley played with the WHL Victoria Royals & BCHL Vernon Vipers last season. In 36 regular season games with the Vipers Persley collected (9-5-14).
