Just like last year Mark Ferner pulled off a trade just before the season started, brining in a veteran defenceman. Last year the Vipers brought in veteran d-man Dan Nycholat, this year it looks like Elliot Richardson is that man. I don’t really know much about newcomer Elliott Richardson other then his stats. I did some research last night, Richardson spent the past three seasons with Lindsay. His best year was in 2008-09 when he picked up 31 pts in 46 games. Richardsons first year with the Muskies he collected just 7 pts in 46 games. The Vipers will get a veteran 19 yr old defenceman in wich they need with just Steve Weinstein and Adam Thompson returning on the Vernon blueline from last years RBC Cup team. To date the Vipers have Malcolm Lyles, Taylor Love, Phillip Patenaude, Brett Corkey (Recruited-Committed), Austin Sture, & Bennett Hambrook all trying to make the Vipers blueline. Richardson lacks a little size to the Vernon blueline. Mark Ferner will have some tough choices to make when picking his 7 d-men to start the season.
