Tonight is the second night of a home and home series with the defending Royal Bank Cup Champion Vernon Vipers & Penticton Vees. Two of the leagues oldest franchises, these two teams have had a long history vs one another as two of the leagues long time rivals face off in Vernon for the first time since last years Interior Conference Playoffs game 5 where Denver Manderson scored the OT winner to force a game six in Penticton. Tonight is a very special night for the Vernon Franchise as four year veteran forward, Rob Short will be the first player in franchise history to have his jersey retired. #20 will go to the rafters in a pre-game ceremony before tonights contest.
