Vipers out in the community

The Terry Fox Run took place in Coldstream Sunday morning and for the third straight year the Vipers came out to lend some helping hands. The Vernon Vipers arrived at Coldstream Elementary School before 9am on Sunday to help get everything organized for the participants in this years run. Some of the players helped with registration, and t-shirt sales while others prepared snacks and drinks and a few went to a kids corner, putting on tattoos and getting entries for prizes. It was a beautiful Okanagan morning and perfect for a Terry Fox Run and before the participants took to the streets Dylan Walchuk and Drew George led the crowd for a warm-up routine while about 8 other Vipers found there way to the water stations to help hydrate runners as they passed by.
"The Vipers do so much in the community and this is such a great event" Vipers Marketing Manger said. "The Vipers have been doing this event since it started 3 years ago here in Coldstream and now they are the core volunteers for this event. The great thing is they now all know what to do and some of them even take part. This year Pimm and Persley went on rollerblades."
