22-Sep-09 The Merritt Centennial Hockey Club transfers the playing rights of Matt Cumming to the Grande Prairie Storm of the AJHL in exchange for the playing rights of Cole Penner.Matt Cumming played with the Vernon Vipers back in the 2007-08 season. In 20 games with the Vipers Cumming recorded 1 assist. Cumming left the team that year in November to join the WHL Prince George Cougars who owned his playing rights. Prince George traded Cumming back in July to Kamloops for a conditional 7th round selection in the 2010 WHL Bantam Draft. The Blazers then ended up releasing Cumming during the exibition schedule just a few weeks back. The Vipers had traded Matt Cummings rights last year to the Merritt Centennials.
