If you watch and listen to the pres conference from yesterday Todd Miller hasn't gone anywhere and was praised by Tom Glenn for his accomplishments last year.
I did not enjoy the Lomicky year as coach of the Vipers, the team was very average to below average at best. I will, however, commend him that he addressed his departure in a classy manner. I suppose he is just trying not to burn bridges but still he speaks positively on his time here.
I look at the time (March 2024) when McKee was fired and Lomicky & Sparrow finished the season. The team seemed to respond to their guidance and finished on a relative high although they had dug themselves into a big hole at that point. The roster was basically set after that point so Lomicky & Sparrow knew what they had to work with. In his full year as head coach (2025) I wonder how Lomicky would have performed if he had control of all the player movements. Unfortunately he was handcuffed by a "GM wanna be" who created a revolving door, often only having new players for a couple of games. i don't think any coach could operate effectively with such roster upheaval. Possibly the result would have been the same but I can't help feeling sorry for him.
No Todd Miller at the press release? I hope that he was away or at another commitment. Todd is a well respected guy who does a lot of the business parts of this organization. It is good that Cooke can rely on a guy like Todd so he can concentrate on players and the on ice part of the business. The Vipers have some very positive pieces in place and gives us all hope for the upcoming season.
There should be some carry over from the previous management. Todd knows which hotel to stay at, which restaurants for the post-game meal, when to leave for a road game, which advertisers will buy ads in the programme, who to call at city hall, how to make ferry reservations for a bus, and on and on.

Offered to stay with the Vipers but, declined, gee I wonder why that would be?
And no Todd Miller, hum, wonder why?
Hiring two new assistants, where did Morrisett go?

Todd Miller & Eric Morrissette were away this weekend. On a personal Note.
