I am somewhat surprised that Vernon city council would spend taxpayers dollars on yet another ugly billboard at the entrance to our city advertising a commercial enterprise, namely the Vernon Vipers.
Don't we have enough of that with the federal and provincial politicians and their signage all over the place advertising their spending of our money?
Maybe they should spend the billboard money on cleaning up the entrance to the city, all the garbage on the side of the road and the weeds in the brick traffic dividers.
