Sad to see Ward get traded. Ward wasn't the most flashy player or stood out from night to night but was one of the more quiet yet consistent defencemen the Vipers had this season. I thought he had a strong game in Salmon Arm on Sunday and was one of the Vipers better players in the loss that night. Wish Sam all the best in Victoria. Ward will succeed with former Vernon Laker Rylan Ferster. Ferster is a great coach and very well respected.

Another player come and gone. This has almost become laughable as it seems like every few days someone is either being traded, released or leaving the Vipers for another league. It has actually become a joke! It's very difficult to follow the Vipers this season without a lineup sheet beisde you for every game. Players/numbers changing from week to week.

You have to wonder, was this a trade the Vipers made because of the new defencemen they signed yesterday? Or is this a veteran defenceman playing on a Viper team with only ten wins, out of the playoffs and near the bottom of the standings asking for a trade? I think a lot of these kids that have left the Vipers for other leagues this season have wanted out/asked for a trade. I don't know for sure, it's just my guess/opinion. Nobody wants to play on a losing team with players coming and going every week and a team that either won't make the playoffs or get by the first round if they get into the playoffs.

With the way Lukas Lomicky and Colton Sparrow took over last season after the Vipers parted ways with Jason McKee, the Vipers finished the regular season on a strong note, took out the Trail Smoke Eaters in the first round of the playoffs, a Trail team that went 4-1 vs Vernon during the regular season and then took a strong Penticton team to five games with three of those games going to overtime. After seeing that, I was really looking forward to this season. Ten players returning, some new commitments & player signings that looked good on paper, I was expecting an exciting season. Boy was I wrong, the season has been a complete disaster since it started. It all starts with ownership and management.

You keep up all the trades you will be losing a lot of fans. There are a lot of us who have had our fill. Who ever is running this club had better give their head a shake.

I’ve been a proud supporter of the Viper’s up until the Glenn’s took over the team. Since then I may have come to cheer the team on a dozen times at the most. I feel for the players definitely not for the management/ownership as since the departure of Ferner nothing has improved. The Glenn’s should be ashamed of their heavy handed micro management skills as it all starts from to top. Sparrow’s departure seems to be very hushed, I can only imagine his displeasure with not being able to do his job, I hope he succeeds with a more professional organization. If you really dug deep and noted all the local talent playing away from the community you would clearly see a lost opportunity . Ownership is pathetic and unapproachable, when Duncan owned the team he was always visible in the community and at the rink, always stopped to talk or listen. He created a winning culture at all levels and he let his coaching staff flourish to develop a successful group, look in the rafters and check out the banners that show a true legacy.
Respect is earned not demanded!! Wake up ownership

You sound like a tired cranky grumpy person who has nothing better going on to let this get to as much as it does. You say you don’t even really attend games so how would you know what’s going on? You hear from the rumor mill and then make your own assessment. Stop caring so much and go watch a different team if it bothers you so much. Get over it already
