Four Former Vipers Named To BCHL Alumni & Friends Game:

Former Vernon Vipers Cody Bostock, Chad Brownlee, Kevin Kraus and Chris Crowell have been named to the BCHL Alumni & Friends game.

Cody Bostock played four seasons at Bemidji State University from 2005-2009 before playing two seasons of professional hockey with the Odense Bulldogs, Rapid City Rush and Braehead Clan before retiring from professional hockey in 2011. 

Bostock played parts of one season with the 2004-05 Vernon Vipers. Bostock played parts of four seasons with the Salmon Arm Silverbacks and Cowichan Capitals was traded to Vernon December 2nd 2004 for defenceman Jeff Fedyk and goaltender Matt Boudreau. In 31 games with the Vipers, Bostock collected (7-goals-16-assists-23-points).

Chad Brownlee played four seasons at Minnesota State University from 2003-2007 before signing his first professional contract with the ECHL Idaho Steelheads in 2007. Following a series of injuries during the 2007-08 season, Brownlee was forced to retire from professional hockey. Brownlee was drafted in 2003 in the 6th round by the Vancouver Canucks. 

Brownlee played two seasons in Vernon from 2001-2003. In 113 games with the Vipers, Brownlee collected (14-goals-28-assists-42-points).

Kevin Kraus played parts of two seasons in the Western Hockey League with the Kamloops Blazers and Tri-City Americans before joining the Vernon Vipers in the 2007-08 season. Kraus played parts of three seasons in Vernon from 2007-2010. In 129 games with the Vipers, Kraus collected (6-goals-44-assists-50-points). Kraus went on to play one season of professional hockey in 2010 with the SPHL Pensacola Ice Flyers and CHL Texas Brahmas. Kraus was an Assistant Coach/Head Coach with the KIJHL Revelstoke Grizzlies and an Assistant Coach with the Salmon Arm Silverbacks before re-joining the Vernon Vipers as an Assistant Coach from 2016-2019.

Chris Crowell played four seasons at University of Alaska-Anchorage from 2009-2013. Crowell played four seasons in Vernon from 2005-2009. In 213 games with the Vipers, Crowell collected (33-goals-57-assists-90-points).
