The ECHL Florida Everblades announced June 24th the team’s Season-

Ending Roster for the 2023-24 season. The Everblades have twenty players on their Season-Ending Roster, one is former Vernon Vipers forward Jesse Lansdell.

Lansdell split the 2023-24 season with the University of Nebraska-Omaha & the ECHL Florida Everblades. In 6 games with the Everblades last season, Lansdell collected (2-goals-0-assists-2-points). Lansdell and the Everblades won the 2024 Kelly Cup.

Lansdell played last season at the University of Nebraska-Omaha before signing his first professional contract with the ECHL Florida Everblades April 1st 2024. Lansdell played the previous four seasons at the University of Notre Dame from 2019-2023.

Lansdell played parts of three seasons with the Vernon Vipers from 2016-2019. The Vipers traded defenceman Mitch Oliver October 15th 2016 to the Chilliwack Chiefs for Jesse Lansdell. In 127 games with the Vipers, Lansdell collected (31-goals-60-assists-91-points).

Mallette will be entering his sixth season as Head Coach of the Western Hockey League Kelowna Rockets.

Mallette was an Assistant Coach with Canada’s National Men’s Summer Under-18 Team last season, an Assistant Coach with Hockey Canada's Under 18 team at the 2023 Hlinka Gretzky Cup & Head Coach of Canada Red U17 2021-22 team.

Mallette is a Rockets Alumni (1996-1999) has been with the Rockets for the past ten seasons. Mallette spent six seasons as an Assistant Coach with the Rockets from 2014-2020 before being named Head Coach March 2nd 2020.

Coughlin played four seasons at Vermont University from 2015-2019 before signing his first professional contract with the American Hockey League Rockford IceHogs May 19th 2019.

HK Spišská Nová Ves is a professional Slovak ice hockey club based in Spišská Nová Ves. They currently play in the Slovak Extraliga. The team was established in 1932.

Andrusiak started the 2023-24 season with the ECHL Cincinnati Cyclones. Andrusiak was in his third season with the Cyclones after re-signing with the Cyclones September 8th 2023. Andrusiak signed a Professional Try-out (PTO) with the American Hockey League Calgary Wranglers January 27th 2024 was returned to Cincinnati January 29th 2024. The Cyclones loaned Andrusiak to Calgary Febraury 7th 2024 before the Wranglers returned Andrusiak back to the ECHL February 16th 2024. The Cyclones traded Andrusiak on the ECHL trade deadline day to the Florida Everblades on March 21st 2024. Finlay has played the past two seasons with the ECHL Allen Americans. The Americans added Finlay to their Protected List June 10th 2024. The Americans re-signed Finlay July 13th 2023. In 26 games last season, Finlay collected (8-goals-11-assist-19-points).

Finlay played two seasons in Europe from 2020-2022 playing with four different teams (KOVEE, HK Nitra, Tingsryds AIF & EHC Freiburg) before signing with the ECHL Allen Americans September 27th 2022. Finlay was named to the ECHL 2022-23 All-Rookie team.

The Las Vegas Golden Knights have invited Vernon Vipers 18 year old committed goaltender Marko Bilic to their Development Camp.

Bilic was added to the Vernon Vipers 2023-24 reserve roster in April 2024 before the Vernon Vipers signed Bilic May 20th 2024 for the 2024-25 season.

Vernon Vipers Open BCHL Showcase vs Cowichan Capitals:

The Vernon Vipers will open the 2024 BCHL Showcase vs the Cowichan Capitals October 13th 2024. The BC Hockey League announced on Friday the 2024 Showcase will be held in Chilliwack and Abbotsford this season. The Vernon Vipers will play two games at the 2024 Showcase vs Cowichan & Blackfalds.

Everblades Add Ex Viper Forward Lansdell To Protected List:

The ECHL announced their Protected Lists June 10th 2024 as submitted by

each of its member teams. The Florida Everblades have twenty four players on their Protected List, one is former Vernon Vipers forward Jesse Lansdell.

Lansdell split the 2023-24 season with the University of Nebraska-Omaha & the ECHL Florida Everblades. In 6 games with the Everblades last season, Lansdell collected (2-goals-0-assists-2-points). Lansdell and the Everblades won the 2024 Kelly Cup.

Lansdell played last season at the University of Nebraska-Omaha before signing his first professional contract with the ECHL Florida Everblades April 1st 2024. Lansdell played the previous four seasons at the University of Notre Dame from 2019-2023.

Lansdell played parts of three seasons with the Vernon Vipers from 2016-2019. The Vipers traded defenceman Mitch Oliver October 15th 2016 to the Chilliwack Chiefs for Jesse Lansdell. In 127 games with the Vipers, Lansdell collected (31-goals-60-assists-91-points).

The Edmonton Oilers are in the market for a new GM as Ken Holland's contract comes to an end | CBC News

Holland has spent the past five seasons as President & General Manager of the Edmonton Oilers.

Holland started as an NHL Scout with the Detroit Red Wings in 1985. Holland was a Scout with the Red Wings from 1985-1987 before being named to Director of Amateur Scouting in 1987 until being named Assistant General Manager in 1994 then being named General Manager & Executive Vice President of Hockey Operations in 1997. Holland left the Red Wings in 2019 was named General Manager & President of Hockey Operations of the Edmonton Oilers May 7th 2019.

Holland was drafted 188th overall by the Toronto Maple Leafs in Round 12 of the 1975 NHL Draft. Holland never played a game with the Maple Leafs, played four games with the Hartford Whalers and Detroit Red Wings before retiring from professional hockey in 1985.

Holland played one season in Vernon with the 1973-74 Vernon Vikings.

The Vernon Vikings were around from 1973-1978 before changing their name to the Vernon Canadians in 1978.
