Day Three & Final Day From Vipers Prospects Camp:

I missed this mornings game but did catch the final game of the morning as Team Yellow defeated Team Red 9-4.  Team Yellow got off to a slow start as Team Red with the better scoring chances was the better team in the first period.  It was tied 2-2 after the opening period before Team Yellow picked up their game in the 2nd and 3rd periods taking a 5-2 lead after the 2nd and coming away with the 9-4 victory.

Here is a list of players that I thought stood out

Team Red:

Both goaltenders Conrad McMillan and Dan Oordt played well between the pipes for Team Red.  Conrad McMillan didnt see alot of rubber in the opening period but did come up with a few big saves early.  McMillan is quick on his feet, didnt give out alot of rebounds and moves around quickly.  Oordt come in relief midway through the second frame and also made some good-big saves at times.  Oordt is a fairly big kid that covers alot of the net, more of a stand up goaltender looked confident between the pipes this afternoon.

Daniel Anhorn looked very good on defence.  A very steady-solid d-man that played his position well, didnt give you alot of room to get by.  A real shutdown defenceman.

TJ Dumonceaux looked good up front for Team Red.  Made some nice plays.

Brendan Persley scored once was noticable and looked good at times.

Team Yellow:

Mat Lambert scored twice (once on a penalty shot) stood out for Team Yellow this afternoon, was in and around the net several times, made some nice heads up plays and was noticable in todays game.  This kid has a wicked hard shot, picked the top shelf on both of his goals.

Joe Serpico collected atleast two assists today, played well.  I liked this kid Friday night at camp and he caught my eye again today.  Really reads and sees the ice well.

Jake Matkin scored once, isnt the biggest kid but looked good today.  Played hard, and was another player that looked good with and without the puck.

Bron Loiselle scored once has impressed me at camp this weekend.

I thought that Kevin Guiltinan of team yellow was an absolute stud on defense all camp long. He looks like a lock to make the team.
