Capitals Named Former Viper Robak Top Gun Defenceman At Year End Awards Banquet:

The Cowichan Valley Capitals named former Vernon Vipers defenceman, Darrin Robak Top Gun Defenceman at the teams annual awards banquet.   Robak & the Caps went out in the in the opening round of the BCHL playoffs in seven games to the Surrey Eagles.  Robak in his second season with the Capitals played one season in Vernon (2009-2010) played in 17 regular season games with the Vipers collecting (2-5-7) before being traded to Cowichan Valley after the 2009-2010 season. Robak was the future considerations in the Vernon-Cowichan Valley trade that saw forward, Drew George & defenceman, Nick Amies go to the Capitals for defenceman, Curtis Gedig and future considerations.

Cowichan Valley hands out hardware at year-end awards night

On March 29, the Cowichan Capitals celebrated the end of a turnaround season, which included a playoff showing that took them to overtime in Game 7 of the first round.

The Year End Awards banquet was held at the Cowichan Golf and Country Club. Below is a list of awards and winners.
