The Oklahoma City Barons of the American Hockey League have assigned Former Vernon Vipers forward, Andrew Lord to the ECHL Wheeling Nailers on April, 25th 2011. Lord who started the season with Wheeling has also played two games with the AHL Milwaukee Admirals this season. In 34 games with the Barons Lord collected (1-6-7). Lord played two seasons in Vernon (2002-04).

Lord and Urquhart Return to Wheeling

WHEELING, WV – The Wheeling Nailers announced Monday that the team has received a pair of players from the American Hockey League. Forward Andrew Lord has been reassigned by the Oklahoma City Barons, while defenseman David Urquhart has been returned from the Hamilton Bulldogs.
Both players were placed on the Nailers playoff roster, and are eligible to play when Wheeling battles Greenville in game six of the Eastern Conference Semifinals Tuesday evening at the Bi-Lo Center.
Lord, 26, returns to Wheeling after appearing in 34 games with Oklahoma City registering a goal and seven assists, along with 89 penalty minutes. Lord was loaned to the Barons in late December, and earned an AHL contract with the club. The 6-3, 200-lb native of West Vancouver, BC played 26 games with the Nailers this season logging 19 points (7g, 19a). This is Lord’s third season in Wheeling where he served as team captain last season and the first part of this season before leaving for Oklahoma City. Dan Henningson assumed the role as Wheeling's captain in February.
Urquhart, 26, played in 23 regular season games with Hamilton this season posting five assists and eight penalty minutes along with a plus-1 rating. The native of Thorold, Ontario also appeared in 24 regular season games with Wheeling this year registering nine points (1g, 8a), 32 penalty minutes, with a plus-seven rating. The 6-foot, 190-lb defenseman has appeared in 130 career AHL games totaling 23 points (6g, 17a) and 78 penalty minutes
