Wow, where are the fans?
League stats say there was just over 1500 fans in attendance, go figure!
Published attendance is the total of season tickets plus walkup purchases and freebies. Not all season tickets are used every game.
The definition of attendance “ the action or state of going regularly to or being present at a place or event.” hence, the all to often confusion from fans about this stat. So, season ticket holders not-in attendance must not be in the count but, I have a sneaky feeling the League purposely inflates this stat.
Diehard and I have often talked about this on Viper game days. He would, then I would, estimate game day attendance, more often than not we are pretty close. Then when the attendance stats come out we are like WTF! No way there was that many people at the game!
I hope we get the great crowds we got last year as it made it so much of a good vibe.
