Viper HHOF – #21 Kevin Kraus
The third (BCHL) Vernon Viper to be inducted into the Viper Highlight Hall Of Fame is former defenseman #2/#21 Kevin Kraus who played for the team for three seasons. As a big hitting blue liner he won two national titles with the Snakes including being captain of the 2010 RBC Champion team. The California native started his hockey career on rollerblades before hitting the ice and playing for two teams in the Western Hockey League. After stints with Kamloops and the Tri-City Americans, Kraus joined the Vernon Vipers.
Following his Junior A career, he played a couple of minor pro season’s before coming back as a coach in the BCHL/KIJHL. He is now an assistant with his former Junior A club, the Vernon Vipers.

Kraus is the third former Viper to be inducted into the unofficial Vernon Vipers Highlight Hall Of Fame. The first was longtime captain and former teammate of Kevin Kraus, #18 Chris Crowell. Crowell played four season's in Vernon winning the 2009 National Championship in his final year with the Vipers. Crowell holds the club record for most franchise penalty minutes.

The second former Viper to be inducted into the unofficial Vernon Vipers Highlight Hall Of Fame, is #1 Andrew Hammond. Hammond played along side both Chris Crowell & Kevin Kraus. Hammond is now playing goal with the Ottawa Senators, played two season's in Vernon winning the 2009 Royal Bank Cup in his final year of Junior hockey.
