Viper Riley Brandt Takes Stick To Teeth

Posted by HockeyTube on Oct 10th, 2015

During a BCHL game between the Vernon Vipers and the Nanaimo Clippers, Vernon forward Riley Brandt took a slash across the face from Nanaimo net-minder #30 Jakob Walter. Brandt, a hard hitting forward
had just moments early dished out a clean hit got more than he bargained for when he tried to drive the net. Not only did he take a punch from the defenceman but goalie brought his stick, edge first into Brandt’s face.

Brandt lost at least two teeth and could lose more as a dentist was brought in last night to assess the damage done to the Trail, B.C. native. Meanwhile the ref only assessed a four minute penalty for high-sticking. No word if the Vernon Vipers will be taking this to a higher level for ruling.
