The defending Interior Division Conference Champion Vernon Vipers will wrap up a three game road trip tonight, make their first of four visits to Royal Le Page Place. Tonight is a re-match of last year's opening round BCHL playoff matchup between the Vipers & Warriors, wich Vernon took in six games. Tonight is also the first game of a home and home series between these two clubs. The Vipers have one win in their last nine games at Royal Le Page Place. Vernon went 1-0-0-1 in the BCHL Showcase last weekend will play three games this weekend. Mark Ferner will make his return to the Vipers bench tonight.

The West Kelowna Warriors return home after going 2-0 at the BCHL Showcase last weekend in Chilliwack with wins over Cqouitlam & Nanaimo. Tonight the Warriors host the Vernon Vipers in the teams home opener before jumping back on the road for the next two games. West Kelowna has lost three of their last four home openers. The Warriors finished tied for 1st place in the Interior Division last year, finished 2nd due to more Penticton wins have nine players returning from last season. West Kelowna lost eleven games on home last year will play four of their first five regular season games away from home.
David Pope (27-23-50) lead the Warriors in goals last season with twenty seven. Seb Lloyd (20-42-62) lead West Kelowna in points with sixty two.
