Tigers Sign Former Vernon Viper Forward Beech:

The Deutsche Eishockey Liga (DEL) Straubing Tigers have signed former Vernon Vipers forward Kris Beech.  The Tigers are a professional hockey team, based in Straubing, Germany.

Beech played last season with AIK Stalkholm & HC Pardubice.  Beech was in his first season with HC Pardubice a professional hockey team in Czech Extraliga before leaving the team in November (2012) before signing with AIK Stalkholm.   In 21 games with HC Pardubice Beech recorded (2-goals-6-assists-8-points).  Beech played just 23 games with AIK Stalkholm a team based in Stockholm, Sweden.  The team decided not to re-sign Beech who recorded (3-goals-2-assists-5-points) in 23 games.   

Beech played the 2011-12 season in Finland with Lukko Rauma. In 59 games Beech collected (15-goals-20-assists-35-points). Beech played parts of just one season in Vernon during the 1996-1997 season before leaving the team during the season for the WHL Calgary Hitmen. Beech was drafted by the Washington Capitals In Round 1 #7 overall at the 1999 NHL Entry Draft.

Canadian Kris Beech trains from Tuesday with the tiger

Straubing of tiger have made a find in search of a new center forward. From the next Tuesday 32-year-old Canadian Kris Beech will take part in the training of the tiger. In addition says manager Jason Dunham: „ It is anything but natural that thus an experienced player graduates from a test training. We are glad that Kris has agreed to do this. This speaks for his professional setting. “

Kris Beech became in 1999 from Washington Capitals in the first round in position a number seven (!) gedraftet. The qualified center forward is 1.88 meters and weighs 92 kilos. In his long and successful career 198 plays (67 Scorerpunkte) stand for him in the NHL, more than 300 meetings in the AHL (284 Scorerpunkte) and just 200 plays (95 Scorerpunkte) in the first league of Sweden to beech. In the last playing time graduated Beech 23 plays for the HC Pardubice in Czechia (two gates, six Assists) and 23 plays for Stockholm AIK (three gates, two Assists) in Sweden. In the current playing time the Canadian was up to now without club.
