The Vernon Vipers return home after 4-2 loss in Salmon Arm Saturday night begin a two game home stand before the Christmas break.  The 2nd place Vipers are now seven points back of Division leading and League leading Penticton have lost two of their last three games.  Vernon is 6-3-1-0 in their last ten games are unbeaten in their last seven home games.  The Vipers are 5-2-0-0 since a 2-2 with West Kelowna back in late November.  Vernon with just two regulation losses at home will play five of their next six games at home.

The West Kelowna Warriors are coming off their third straight win with a 4-1 victory over the visiting Powell River Kings Sunday afternoon.  The Warriors make their third visit of the season to Kal Tire Place begin a two game road trip tonight.  The 4th place Warriors are tied with Merritt are just three points back of 3rd place Salmon Arm and six points back of 2nd place Vernon.  West Kelowna has won four of their last five games and are 6-3-1-0 in their last ten games.  The Warriors have just three regulation losses away from home are 4-2 since their last meeting with the Vipers, a 2-2 tie back on November 23rd in Vernon.  West Kelowna will finish 2013 with three of their next four games on the road.
