Valiant effort results in, yet again, a close game loss! Definitely can not fault the effort the Vipers produce, these guys ARE trying!, kudos to Coaching staff and players for the heart they showed. They may lose but, the loss will not come without effort! GO VIPERS GO!!
I watched tonight's game on FloHockey. This was an exciting/entertaining hockey game. Both teams were pretty even in the 1st period, even though the Saints were up 2-0. I thought both teams were pretty even again in the 2nd period with the hometown Saints maybe having a bit of an edge now and again from time to time. I thought the Vipers were the better team in the first half of the 3rd period, while Spruce Grove had a bit of an edge in play later in the second half of the 3rd. A pretty feisty game with a few cheap shots and lots of activities after the whistle. Give the Snakes credit for battling back after being down 3-0 before taking a 4-3 lead. The Vipers have yet to win a game in Spruce Grove are now 0-2-1-0 in Spruce Grove since the Saints joined the BCHL. This team just can't catch a break/win a hockey game. I really feel sorry for the players who come to play every game, play hard, compete, but just aren't getting the wins. With the loss, Vipers drop to last in the Division. Only Surrey and Powell River have fewer wins then Vernon.
The Thompson Family Arena opened in May and looks super nice but small. Judging by capacity, it might be a similar size to something like Salmon Arm's arena?
What a crazy/dumb schedule this season. After starting the season seeing the same teams over and over again, the Vipers have now played eight of their past nine games on the road
Oh overtime, Vipers still get a point
I listened to the game on radio last night. The highlights you posted looked as good as the game sounded on radio. Looks like we played well, just got to play a little better and keep putting those pucks in the net a little more, so we can start getting some wins.
