Kykkanen split the 2024-25 season with the Western Hockey League Kelowna Rockets and BCHL Vernon Vipers.
Kykkanen played parts of four seasons with the Western Hockey League Kelowna Rockets before being released November 22nd 2024. The Vernon Vipers signed Kykkanen November 23rd 2024. In 27 games with the Vernon Vipers, Kykkanen went 8-15-2 with a 4.36 GAA
