I watched tonight's game on FloHockey. The Vipers opened the scoring but the Bulldogs were the better team in the 1st period. Oliver Kanat played well. I thought Vernon played better in the 2nd period and carried a bit more of the play but were down 3-1. Both teams were pretty even in the 3rd. The Vipers get two early goals into the final period to tie the game but can't take the lead and unfortunately give up the winning goal with about seven minutes left. Other then the 1st period, I thought the 2nd and 3rd was entertaining. Give Vernon credit for not giving up and battling back in the 3rd. The Vipers have been in every game this year except one, just aren't winning many hockey games. The Vipers have a quick turnaround with an afternoon game tomorrow vs a very good 1st place Cowichan Capitals team.

I listened to the game on radio, while watching the Blue Jays. How are the Vipers suppose to win a game when playing shorthanded so much? The Vipers don't have any real good goal scorers. Gibson needs to score on those breakaways. Most games this year have been close and only losing by a goal or two.

Was tough to concentrate on the game as we streamed it on the iPad and had the Jays game on TV. Once again though the boys drop a tough fought game. The tides gotta turn for these boys at some point.
