Victoria Grizzlies forward Dane Gibson has been named the BCHL Player of the Week for the week ending Februay 15, the league announced Monday.
Gibson racked up eight points in two games as Victoria triumphed twice on home ice. The 6-foot-2, 210-pound playmaker had five assists in an 8-4 win over Alberni Valley where he was named 2nd Star. He followed that with the game-winning tally and 1st Star for a two-goal, one assist game in a 6-2 win over Prince George.
The Sidney, BC product's weekend moved him up into third in the BCHL scoring race.
