Vipers regular season schedule announced

With the Royal Bank Cup still fresh in everybody’s minds, the B.C. Hockey League has released the 2014-15 regular season schedule.
“I don’t really have any games circled on my calendar just yet. Of course the home opener is always fun and the rivalry games with Salmon Arm, Penticton and West Kelowna are good too,” said Vipers’ GM/head coach Jason Williamson.
The defending Ryan Hatfield Memorial champions will battle the West Kelowna Warriors in their home opener Saturday, Sept. 27 at Kal Tire Place.
The Snakes host the Salmon Arm SilverBacks Friday, Oct. 10, with fans getting their first glance at the Penticton Vees a week later on Oct. 17.
The Fred Page Cup rematch goes Saturday, Jan. 17, when the Coquitlam Express roll into town.
The Snakes will play 10 home games on Friday and Saturday nights this season.
“We have bumped up the Saturday night games to 6 p.m. to try and bring more families out,” said Williamson.
The Vipers toughest road trip occurs when they hit the coast on Dec. 12 for games with the Powell River Kings, Alberni Valley Bulldogs and Nanaimo Clippers.
“That should be a good trip midway through our season; they are all good teams,” said Williamson. “The travel isn’t too bad in this league so we will be fine.”
