IceGators Trade Former Vernon Viper Short To Peoria:

The Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL) Louisiana
IceGators have traded former Vernon Vipers forward Rob Short to the SPHL Peoria Rivermen.  Short spent the past three seasons with the IceGators.  Short a Vernon product played five season's in Vernon (2006-2010) and is the only player in franchise history to have his number retired. In 229 regular season games with the Vipers Short collected (61-76-137).

IceGators Trade Short

Louisiana IceGator Head Coach Kevin Kaminski announced today that forward Robert Short has been traded to the Peoria Rivermen for future considerations

Short was acquired in a trade with the Pensacola Ice Flyers during the 2010-2011 season.  In 117 games with the IceGators he had 44 goals, 64 assists for a total of 108 points.   Coach Kaminski and the IceGator organization would like to thank Robert for his dedication and professionalism while with the team.

The IceGators will host an exhibition game on October 19, 2013 against the Pensacola Ice Flyers.  The puck will drop at 7:00 pm and admission is just $5 at the door.

Robbie won't be playing for awhile as he just had neck surgery following an accident in practise during his first week in Peoria. Perhaps you want to wish him best wishes on the blog
