11/01/2012
By Mike Stackhouse

Ian McNulty, Melville Millionaires
1992 F Ian McNulty (Airdrie AB) led all SJHL players during the abbreviated month of September and the full month of October with 7-goals and 17-assists in 15-games played to take home this year’s first RBC Player Of The Month award. Amongst the highlights for McNulty were three different 4-point games, as well as six multi-point games. Obviously, he enters November as the SJHL scoring leader.
SJHL DEFENSEMAN OF THE MONTH
Josh Roach, Flin Flon Bombers
1992 D Josh Roach (Saskatoon SK) got off to a fiery start with his new team and that carries him to the RBC Defenseman Of The Month award. Roach finished September/October by scoring 3-goals and 15-asssists in 14-games played. Roach, former three year veteran with the Humboldt Broncos, recorded points in seven of his first eight games and had a goal and nine assists in his first three games.
SJHL ROOKIE OF THE MONTH
Brett Boehm, Flin Flon Bombers
1994 F Brett Boehm (Martensville SK) paced all rookies with 10-goals and 6-assists in 12-games played during September/October to earn the RBC Rookie Of The Month. The highly skilled forward has points in nine of his last ten games overall, and also enjoyed a stretch of multiple point games three times over a four game period stretching from September 25-October 12. He had his first SJHL hat trick on September 25th against La Ronge.
SJHL GOALTENDER OF THE MONTH
Alex Wakaluk, Melville Millionaires
1993 G Alex Wakaluk (Bellevue AB), playing behind an inexperienced defense, backstopped the Millionaires to the league’s best record during the September/October playing period to win the RBC Goaltender Of The Month award. Wakaluk went 9-1-0-1 with two shutouts, a 1.96-GAA and a .935-SPCT. He goes into November on a personal five game winning streak and has posted a SPCT lower than .900 only once in a game this season.
