Vipers win team of the year award

The Vernon Vipers are pleased to announce that last years RBC Cup Championship Team has won the Team of the Year Award sponsorship by Team 1040 at the Sport BC 44th Annual Athlete Of The Year Awards. The Vipers were nominated by BC Hockey and were up against Team Sanders Curling Team and UBC's Woman's Volleyball team. The event was held at the River Rock Casino and Resort in Richmond Wednesday night and Assistant Coach Jason Williamson attended the event with Cam Brodie and Heidi Schrader to accept the award.
"It was a great event with a lot of great athletes and it was an honour to be there" commented Heidi Schrader "Sport BC were tremendous hosts and we had a great time. It was also great to meet some of the other athletes and share a stage with them."
