Aaron Volpatti Among Finalists In Fan Vote For NCAA Frozen Four Skills Challenge

PROVIDENCE, RI - The NCAA has announced that Brown senior forward Aaron Volpatti (Revelstoke, BC) is among approximately 75 finalists to compete in the NCAA Frozen Four Skills Challenge in Detroit, MI on April 9th. Fans will have the opportunity to vote for the 32 athletes chosen to participate (16 male, 16 female), with voting running through Monday, February 15.

A tri-captain for the Bears, Volpatti has played in all 21 games and currently fourth on the team in scoring with 15 points (7g, 8a). He leads the Bears with two game winning goals and two short handed goals and also has one power play goal. In his career, Volpatti has played in 107 games, which leads the class of 2010. He has 45 career points on 22 goals and 23 assists.

The selection committee will take all voting into consideration prior to making its announcement of the final rosters by the end of February.

The Frozen Four Skills Challenge will be held April 9 at Ford Field in Detroit, Michigan. and will highlight the "Friday Night at the Frozen Four". The night will also include the presentation of the Hobey Baker Memorial Award, the Hockey Humanitarian Award and the announcement of the American Hockey Coaches Association All-American teams.
