With 9 defencemen you knew someone had to be the odd man out and today that was Isaac Holt and Vinny Ipri. Ipri was one of the Vipers recruits/committed players for the 2024-25 season and just never looked comfortable/confident. I would guess the smallest kid on the team, never really stood out, seemed to make a lot of mistakes in his own end and never looked like a top d-man. Sure he's 18 and maybe needed some seasoning but with 9 defencemen, someone had to go. Another kid who didn't see a lot of ice time and made more mistakes then plays. Wishing Vinny all the best in his hockey future.

The Vipers are down to 22 players, so you have to wonder if more roster moves are coming?

Were 11 games into the 2024-25 regular season and look at all the trades/roster moves the Vipers have made due to a poor start to the season. The Snakes have arguably been the busiest team regarding trades/roster moves. Look at how many recruits/committed players are already gone.

Gone are

Forward 05 Adam Csabi (Returning from last season)
Forward 05 Sean Gibbons (Committed to the Vipers for 2024-25 season)
Forward 06 Kole Hyles (Committed to the Vipers for the 2024-25 season)
Forward 05 Kristian Lamanna (Signed with the Vipers July 19th 2024)
Forward 06 Bronson Ross (Returning from last season)
Forward 04 Carter Streek (Signed with the Vipers June 28th 2024)
Forward 05 Payton Struck (Returning from last season)
Defencemen 06 Roarke Gilmour (Signed with the Vipers August 15th 2024)
Defencemen 05 Isaac Holt (Signed with the Vipers May 25th 2024)
Defencemen 06 Vinny Ipri (Committed to the Vipers for 2024-25 season)
Defencemen 05 Carson Lloyd (Signed with the Vipers June 21st 2024)

Why didn't the Vipers make a press release on Vinny Ipri? Was he released? traded? Already a couple of times this season a player has been removed from the Vipers roster and no word of any kind regarding the move/player from the Vipers or league website. The league website transactions page is a joke and not really a transactions page, it only lists trades. The Vipers also need to be more involved with social media regarding trades, players coming and going, injuries etc We are fans, we follow the team on and off the ice and we the fans want to know what happened to someone like Vinny Ipri. Was he traded? Was he released? Why is he no longer on the roster? Keep us informed. This is not 1980 anymore, it's 2024 and the internet can be a valuable tool to keep your fans informed. Without us the fans, you don't have a hockey team.

The vipers organization is turning into quite the joke , sorry but it is . Laundry list of players coming and going any coach knows you can not build chemistry with a revolving lock room door. What else does it say when returning players like Csabi, struck and Ross do not want to be here ? Was never impressed with Struck but Csabi and Ross were very decent hockey players that wanted out .

All these early season moves only goes to show you that the Vipers lack of recognizing talent and recruiting skills is extremely poor.

The management and executive vice president don't even bother to answer emails or texts to them. LOUSY business practices all around. Maybe I was going to buy them a bus. They'll never know

Their Social Media is a joke, they do not interact with fan responses. The NO PRESS RELEASE issue, in my opinion, is because they believe, THEY ARE THE ALL MIGHTY. Which, to me, means they dont care about the fans.

I personally happen to know the social media people and the people you are referring to that don’t answer emails and you actually have no bases for these comments. Questions are answered and emails are returned. Why don’t you actually come in to the office and ask these questions in person instead of behind an “Anonymous “ name. This is a ridiculous slander and unless you have actual evidence to what you think you know then I would maybe stick to comments on what you actual know . I invite you to come and speak to any person in the organization.

Question for Anonymous.. Are you you asking and answering your own Reply because using "Anonymous" you could be the same person stirring the pot. Put a name on Your Post!

Bahahaha!!!! You commented as anonymous also! Slander is nothing to take lightly. Put your name and I will show you the emails and texts left unreturned. YOU invite me to speak to ANY person in the organization do you. Try using spellcheck next time as well.

Perhaps it’s time for Todd & Company to step back and time for the organization to bring in “Hockey People” that have the desire to improve and aren’t WAY too comfortable. Anything but ideal watching our once proud franchise dwindle, and a real shame that those who do have the capacity to make changes are the ones who are happy with status quo. Let’s “put the baby to bed” and get marketing folks that think outside the box and at the same time, start putting the players first rather than wasting their time coming up with these horrendous jersey designs. I know, a lot of mixed info there but that’s because the entire organization needs a major overhaul. Unfortunately, as long as businesses are supporting and fans are coming out, ownership thinks good things - meanwhile, I don’t know a single person that will actually keep the radio on when the Snakes are in action.

Okay my post was at 9:44am. I will now post as Exfan. I take offence to the suggestion that I slandered anybody. I did not say anything about the social media accounts. So who are you to invite me to the Vipers office? The owner ?Post your name so I can come see YOU.

LOL not the owner 🤣, all I was saying was if you were to ask anyone who works for them , they would be happy to answer questions for you. They have always been very helpful and kind to me. I think the social media people do a great job but I guess what you were referring to is that you would like more information to come out regarding when a player is released etc. I think at the end of the day we just have to be kinder. I hope you have a great evening!

This is why I wanted fans to create and use a username instead of everyone using Anonymous. I can block anyone who use the username "Anonymous" but I'm afraid I will lose many fans who don't want to create a username.

If the organization, team and owners are so bad, why do the fans keep coming?

I rarely listen to a game on the radio as I prefer to watch in person. Just because I choose to not listen on the radio doesn’t mean I don’t support the team.

on another note, FIRE THE COACH!

I know lomicky and sparrow personally. They are both very passionate about viper hockey. I have every confidence in there ability to deliver a quality product on the ice. They know how to deliver . As fans as tough as it is we need to be patient. As time moves on I am sure the team will move in the right direction. Go Vipers Go.

Csabi didn’t want “out”. Lot more to that story that has been hush hush.

Let’s hear the story then, sounds like you know?

Coach has no clue how to develop chemistry for team success. Revolving door of players, including young players that could be the future, is not a good look and will likely hurt recruiting. Ipri never seemed to get an opportunity to get into a game and make some plays. Sitting on the bench helps no one. Young players will be reluctant to sign in Vernon. Releasing Streek blew up in his face when the kid returned and led the way in beating the Snakes. With 10+ D1 commits you have to look at the coaches and decisions being made.

AMEN! Zero energy from this team. Undisciplined penalties and no grit all point to the coaches. Attendance is declining and with the NCAA allowing CHL players for next season, why would anyone want to sign here. Unfortunate they’ve created a toxic culture that players don’t want to be a part of. That’s why you see such high turnover. Not a recipe for success. Need a change!!
