20% of the season is now done for the Vipers. If, after this point is a benchmark as to how they stand then, it must be said they OFFICIALLY SUCK as a team! That being said they have showed some slight improvement so, hopefully the next 80% will be better.

I watched the Oilers/Vipers game online today. This was the first ever game between the Vipers & Oilers as the two teams will face each other four times this season.

I thought the first six to seven minutes was very slow, with lots of whistles and stoppages, slowing down the game as neither team could get much of anything going. Okotoks was the better team in the 1st period. I thought the Snakes played much better in the 2nd period in a fairly even matched period. The Oilers carried the better of the play and were the better team in the 3rd, scoring the game winner on a two man advantage to come away with the win. I thought the Vipers struggled both defensively and offensively this afternoon. Vernon with way too many turnovers in there own end, also struggled offensively through out the game, couldn't seem to get a lot going.

Okotoks is a hard working team, never stops skating, strong on the forecheck and plays well defensively. The Oilers look like a better team then their record shows. The Oilers may be near the bottom of the standings but beat Cranbrook earlier in the season.

The Vipers played last night in Cranbrook, while the Oilers haven't played since Friday. Both teams had three wins heading into today's game. The Vipers six game road trip continues and doesn't get any easier with games in Penticton & Salmon Arm next weekend.

I had troubles watching the game during the 2nd period as whenever they went to show the replays during whistles, the replays would keep repeating themselves or pausing, while the game would continue. I was able to still catch Graham Turnbull but I couldn't watch the game as the replay was still on or frozen. This happened a lot in the 2nd period and was very annoying.

Cant ride 06/07 line and expect to win. Not the top line. Not in this league.

The Vipers have two tough games coming up vs the Silverbacks and Vees if they continue to lose, you have to wonder if they will make a coaching change

That’s a very good question. I guess since 33% of the teams in the league currently have only 3 wins so far perhaps all 7 of 21 teams should consider a coaching change? Heck, some of the other 6 teams don’t even have fresh coaches, they’re 3 Ws with their past staff and much of last year's roster. Better yet, the owners should bring back their last coach because he really did a great job with 5 years of experience under his belt with the team. Well liked I hear too. Or the owners could figure out scouting and much needed resources like the other top winning teams do and not play the impulse coaching change game. But that takes accountability and action, and well….

Still a great game played in Cranbrook and got to see what’s possible. I’ve seen some good things so far this year, and sometimes the better team loses. As a fan I support the players and believe there’s still a lot of the season left. Real support drives all things forward. Go Vipers Go!

Upon reviewing the game video I thought with a little puck luck we could have won the game. Sometimes the hockey game just doesn't go your way. I liked the effort the vipers put into the game. Go Vipers Go
