Spartak Moskva Sign Viper Alumni Genoway:

The Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) Spartak Moskva have signed former Vernon Vipers defenceman Chay Genoway.  Spartak Moskva is a professional ice hockey team based in Moscow, Russia, They play in the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL).

Genoway will be entering his second season in Russia after playing last season with the KHL Dynamo Riga.  In 59 games last year Genoway collected (9-goals-14-assists-23-points).  Prior to playing in the KHL Genoway spent the previous three seasons (2011-2014) in the American Hockey League & NHL with (Houston, Hershey & Minnesota).   

The Minnesota Wild signed Genoway to an entry-level contract on April, 12th 2011. Genoway made his NHL debut with the Wild on April, 7th 2012 collecting 1 assist and being named 2nd star vs the Pheonix Coyotes.  Genoway spent parts of two seasons with the Wild farm club in Houston before the Wild traded Genoway to the Washington Capitals on March 14th 2013.  Genoway never played a single game with the Capitals played a season and a half with the Capitals farm club in Hershey.

Genoway played one season in Vernon (2005-2006). In 56 regular season games with the Vipers Genoway collected (17-goals-32-assists-49-points).

Spartak Moskva introduced legionaries, Zherdev will play in Sochi

Re-entrant KHL Spartak Moskva disclose the names of five legionnaires, who clothed his jersey next season. Petrel Nikolai Zherdev has agreed with the Sochi earlier.
