Vernon's Dancs earns Player of the Week

Vernon Vipers forward Dexter Dancs has been named BCHL Player of the Week for the week ending Mar. 30, the league announced Monday.
The Vipers are 2-0 in the BCHL's round-robin semifinal and Dancs has been a major contributor to the 11 goals the Vipers have scored through both games. The six-foot-two, 205-pound power forward scored a power-play goal during Vernon's huge five-goal second period in game one in a 5-4 win against the Victoria Grizzlies. He continued his strong play in game two against the Coquitlam Express, scoring another goal and adding two assists and was named second star of the game in a convincing 6-1 Vipers win.
The 19-year-old from North Vancouver, B.C. finished the week with two goals and two assists in two playoff games.
