Lets take a look at the Vernon Vipers:

The Vernon Vipers will finish a three game road trip tonight in Salmon Arm.  The Vipers picked up a win and a tie in last weeks BCHL Showcase.  Vernon defeated Surrey 7-3 and tied Chilliwack 1-1.  These two teams will be meeting for a third time this season after the two teams split two games during the pre-season.  Salmon Arm knocked off the Vipers at home 5-1 while Vernon returned the favor on home ice coming away with a 7-5 victory.  The Vipers play four of there first five games away from home.    

Liam Coughlin (2-1-3) & Demico Hannoun (2-1-3) both lead the Vipers in points with three each.

Lets take a look at the  Salmon Arm Silverbacks:

The Salmon Arm Silverbacks return home after going winless at the BCHL Showcase last weekend in Chilliwack.  The Backs fell 5-4 in overtime to Victoria and took a 5-1 loss to the Powell River Kings.  Tonight is the Silverbacks home opener in the first game of a home and home series vs the Vipers.  Salmon Arm will play seven of there first nine games away from home to start the regular season.  The Backs have won three straight at home vs Vernon.   

Alex Gillies (2-0-2) & Thomas Plese (2-0-2) both lead the Silverbacks in points with two each.
