Centennials Trade Former Vernon Viper Saunders To AJHL:

The Merritt Centennials have traded former Vernon Vipers defenceman John Saunders to the AJHL Whitecourt Wolverines.  Saunders who was entering his second season in Merritt played with the KIJHL North Okanagan Knights (2011-12) & five games as an "AP" with the Vernon Vipers. Saunders attended the 2010 Sun Valley Showcase in Vernon and the Vipers 2011 & 2012 Training camps. Saunders played in three pre-season games with the Vipers last year before being released and signing with the Centennials.
