The AHL St. John’s IceCaps have signed former Vernon Vipers forward, Scott Zurevinski to an amateur tryout contract. Zurevinski just finished his fourth year at Quinnipiac University played two years in Vernon (2006-2008). In 96 regular season games with the Vipers, Zurevinski collected (47-47-94). Zurevinski attended the Pittsburgh Penguins 2011 development camp this past July.

IceCaps sign Zurevinski to ATO

The St. John’s IceCaps today announced they have signed forward Scott Zurevinski (Zerr-VIN-ski) to an amateur tryout contract.
Zurevinski, 23, played in 39 games with Quinnipiac University of the ECAC this season. In that time, the Saskatoon, SK native has recorded 19 points (5G, 14A) and 64 penalty minutes.
The 6’2, 215 pound forward has played four seasons with the Quinnipiac University Bobcats where he has appeared in a total of 155 games for 92 points (46G, 46A) and 185 penalty minutes.
Zurevinski will join the team in St. John’s for its two-game series with the Manchester Monarchs this weekend.
