VOLPATTI OUT
December 4, 2011
Fresh off scoring his first goal of the season, Aaron Volpatti discovered in an MRI Friday that he will require shoulder surgery that will have him out four to six months.
"He'd been having issues with his shoulder for some time," said head coach Alain Vigneault. "We had an MRI done after the game on Thursday and the results came late Friday, met with the doctors Saturday morning and it was determined that it was the best course of action for him to get that done now."
Volpatti earned himself a role on the Canucks roster through training camp and appeared in 23 games this season.
