The CHL Bloomington Blaze have signed former Vernon Vipers goaltender, Mark Sibbald on Saturday, December 10th 2011. Sibbald who played two years in Vernon (2003-2005) went 35-16-3 in 59 regular season games with the Vipers was suspended-released by the SPHL Huntsville Havoc on Wednesday, December 7th 2011 after spending the last three years with the Havoc.

PERSONNEL MOVES: The Blaze on Saturday signed goaltender Mark Sibbald, who earned Goaltender of the Year honors last season in the Southern Professional Hockey League. The Ridgeway, Ontario native is in his third professional season, with all but 12 games spent with the Huntsville Havoc. In ten games this season with Huntsville, he was 4-4-2 with a 2.67 goals-against average and a .916 save percentage. Goalie Rob Mattison was waived; he did not see action in three games on the Bloomington roster.
