Former Vernon Laker Metropolit Signs Contract Extension With HC Lugano:

The HC Lugano of Switzerland have signed former Vernon Lakers forward, Glen Metropolit to a two year contract extension. Metropolit played one season in Vernon with the 1994-1995 Vernon Lakers is in his second season with HC Lugano. Metropolit played eleven season's in the NHL with seven teams (Washington, Tampa Bay, Atlanta, St. Louis, Boston, Philadelphia and Montreal).

The Hockey Club Lugano in fact the great pleasure to announce that it has reached an agreement for the next two seasons with Glen Metropolit, born 25.6.1974 Canadian Centre in Toronto.

Metropolit was one of the architects of the conquest of the seventh national title in the history of the club Juventus at the end of the 2005/2006 season (61 games, 91 points).

Sets forth the attention of the NHL, Metropolit has since worn between 2006 and 2010, the Atlanta Trashers jerseys, the St. Louis Blues, the Boston Bruins, the Philadelphia Flyers Montreal Canadiens and before returning to Switzerland to Zug, where last played and is playing the current season (26 games, 28 points).

With a great skating technique and a superfine cane, Metropolit combines quality slinger (144 games, 60 goals, 124 assists, 184 points in the Helvetic league) with a keen sense of the show could ignite the audience.

Metropolit has shared the ice in the NHL in 437 occasions, scoring an impressive tally of 164 points total (58 networks, 106 assists).
