Royal Bank Cup Semifinal: Humboldt 3 Victoria 2 (Overtime)

I attended tonights other semifinal game between Victoria & Humboldt. This matchup was a rematch from the opening game of the RBC wich saw Humboldt defeat Victoria 2-1 scoring the winning goal shorthanded with just 1.1 seconds remaining in the game. That was a very exciting-entertaining hockey game. Tonight was by far the best game of the tournament. These two teams put on a great show, in front of the biggest crowd to date. A very entertaining and exciting hockey game as both teams had chances with some solid goaltending. If the Grizzlies could find some finish in and around the net, they may be facing off against Vernon in Sundays final. Victoria missed some great opportunities through out tonights contest, especially in the 2nd and Overtime periods. The Grizz were all over the Broncos in the early goings before Humboldt battled back with some chances of their own. In the end Humboldt ended the Grizzlies season scoring with just 2.3 seconds remaining. What a heart breaker for Victoria and their fans. Humboldt now moves onto the RBC Final vs Vernon.
